Supply Chain Optimization Specialist

Job OverviewThis role plays a pivotal part in managing stocks within the GB network, ensuring the right products are held in our factories to meet production demands at the lowest cost. You'll have day-to-day ownership of stock levels at each Britvic site, working closely with warehouse, transport, and customer teams.
Main Responsibilities- Effectively manage stock movements across the network
- Maintain accurate system data to inform supply chain decisions
- Validate deployment systems and manage exceptions to optimize stock movements
- Take ownership of site/role responsibilities defined by the Team Leader
- Drive site forecasts to ensure optimal stock holdings
- Develop and implement site stock holding rules to balance days cover and space
- Manage order-sourcing models to reduce costs
- Support operational constraints through regular communication and stakeholder engagement
- Promote cost reduction by proactively managing short-dated stock run-out and optimizing stock movements
- Support exception management, including day-to-day deployment system maintenance
- Collaborate on process development to align with changes to the Britvic network
- Proficiency in MS Excel is essential
- Strong analytical skills are required
- Experience with demand & supply planning tools (e.g., SAP) is preferred but not necessary
- Familiarity with FMCG industry practices is beneficial
- Build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders across the business
- Collaborate effectively individually or as part of a team
- Demonstrate personal responsibility for delivering results
Minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent qualifications
End-to-end supply chain experience
12+ months' experience in planning systems in a customer-facing role
A competitive salary of around £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
