Job Title: Qualified Social Worker - Connected Carers Team
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified social worker to join our Connected Carers Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and assessing potential foster carers, ensuring the well-being and safety of children in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of prospective foster carers, ensuring they meet the necessary criteria and provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Manage a caseload of connected carer cases, ensuring timely and accurate documentation, and collaborating with other professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to connected carers, offering assistance in managing challenging situations and promoting the well-being of both carers and children.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including schools, health professionals, and local authorities, to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to the care of children.
- Prepare and present reports for court proceedings, attending hearings as required and advocating for the best interests of the children under your care.
- Intervene in crisis situations, providing immediate support and working towards effective resolution to safeguard the welfare of children.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised social work qualification.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- DBS on the update service.
- Proven experience in child protection and working with connected carers.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills.
