Job Description: We are seeking a Strategic Wastewater Asset Planner to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to drive the overall strategy for Wastewater and deliver excellent service to customers and businesses in the North West England.

Responsibilities:
  • To set the framework, manage and guide effective delivery plans for wastewater that deliver excellent service, add value, and support long-term asset stewardship.
  • To liaise across the wastewater planning and performance teams to ensure delivery plans are aligned to company objectives and wider Wholesale plans including the AMP county plans, longer term plans including DWMP, and the development of the PR29 wastewater plan.
  • To ensure strategic alignment of adaptive plans with wider business planning frameworks including wastewater quality and quantity strategy, county plans, Drainage and Wastewater Management Plan (DWMP), and business plan submissions.
  • To determine appropriate regional and sub-regional performance targets, including those related to regulatory performance commitments, and monitor operational performance.

Requirements:
  • Broad understanding of wastewater services operations and a knowledge of how the service interacts with regulatory frameworks and stakeholder groups.
  • Computer literate with an excellent knowledge of SharePoint, Excel, and other relevant computer systems to enable manipulation of data to aid reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to draw appropriate conclusions from varied sources of relevant yet complex data.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop and present their own ideas to ensure that appropriate changes are effectively delivered through the business.
