About the Role
The Cancer Research UK Cancer Prevention Trials Unit (CPTU) is a leading research centre focused on advancing cancer prevention, early diagnosis, and screening. We are seeking an experienced Applications Developer to join our team and support the development and maintenance of our clinical trials database management service.
The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and developing new databases in REDCap to facilitate data collection and ensure quality assurance in accordance with clinical trial protocols. Additionally, the role will involve testing new processes and systems for managing data capture within clinical trials, as well as assisting database system validation.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and enthusiastic candidate with experience in data management systems and databases. You will have a strong background in testing database management systems, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in REDCap development, computer systems validation, and a good understanding of current regulations governing the conduct of clinical research and data are essential.

The Wolfson Institute of Population Health (WIPH) is a dynamic and exciting environment that brings together globally leading researchers in population-based research and education activities. The Institute is organised into five separate research centres, each with its own objectives and requirements.
The Centre for Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Diagnosis (CCSPED) is a key research centre within WIPH, focusing on cancer prevention, cancer screening, and detection and early diagnosis. CCSPED also hosts the cross-cutting Cancer Behavioural Science group and the CRUK-funded Cancer Prevention Trials Unit (CPTU).
