Clinical Trials Sourcing Director

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Trials Sourcing Director to join our team at Alcura Health España S.A. in Woking, Surrey. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the clinical trials sourcing function and developing strategic sourcing strategies to meet the needs of our business.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to the clinical trials sourcing team, ensuring effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for clinical trials materials, services, and suppliers, driving strategy on emerging markets and conducting market research to identify potential suppliers/vendors.
- Establish strong relationships with key suppliers/vendors, negotiating contracts, terms, pricing agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure quality standards, delivery timelines, cost targets, and compliance requirements are met.
- Identify potential risks associated with clinical trials sourcing activities and develop risk mitigation strategies, staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and market dynamics.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D personnel, quality assurance/quality control teams, and regulatory affairs personnel to ensure seamless integration of clinical trial supplies/services into ongoing operations.
- Continuously evaluate existing processes for efficiency improvements while maintaining compliance with internal policies/procedures and applicable regulations/guidelines.
- Work closely with finance teams to develop budgets for clinical trials sourcing activities and drive cost optimization initiatives by identifying areas of potential savings without compromising quality or timelines.
- Manage vendor relationships, including onboarding new vendors and removing non-performing vendors, and perform regular Business Review Meetings (BRMs) with suppliers in line with business needs.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., life sciences, business administration).
- 8+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of clinical trials sourcing processes and regulations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal/external stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities and decision-making skills.
