About the Job

WhereToTalk is seeking a dedicated University Therapist to join our team. As a qualified counsellor, you will work closely with students to provide expert therapy and support. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based approaches.

You will be expected to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to design and deliver training programs for staff on student mental health issues. We value your expertise and commit to supporting your professional growth and development.

In return for your skills and experience, we offer a highly competitive salary of approximately £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes access to an excellent contributory pension scheme, discounted bus travel, and membership to various social and sports clubs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions
  • Design and deliver training programs for staff on student mental health issues
  • Contribute to the operational development of the service
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team

Requirements

  • Evidence of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Individual Counsellor Accreditation/UKCP Registration or equivalent body
  • Substantial experience delivering individual, psychodynamic and/or cognitive behavioural counselling/psychotherapy
  • Able to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, self-motivate, and motivate others
  • Detailed familiarity with issues facing students in Higher Education
