Job Title: Residential Conveyancer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Conveyancer to join our team at Ideal Personnel & Recruitment Solutions Limited. As a key member of our conveyancing department, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful running of our conveyancing team, providing a quality conveyancing service to our clients, and working towards targets set by our Directors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the successful running of the conveyancing team to provide a quality conveyancing service to clients.
  • Check freehold, leasehold, shared ownership, and unregistered titles.
  • Recognise complex issues affecting transactions, including Probate and matrimonial implications on a transaction.
  • Work towards targets set by the Directors in relation to new work and monthly billing.
  • Maintain good relationships with agents and other third parties.
  • Generate own clients.
  • Oversee and advise other members of the department.
  • Report to the Directors on the performance of the department.
  • Attend outside appointments.
  • Act on instruction of and report to Directors.
  • Be responsible for departmental compliance of anti-money laundering regulations and quality procedures in accordance with the Office Manual.
  • Ensure a high standard of file management and awareness of essential procedures.
  • Observe procedures in accordance with the Office Manual and conditions of employment.
  • Maintain and where possible, improve all office standards.
Requirements:
  • Ideal be qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor, or Legal Executive.
  • At least 3 years' experience working within a busy conveyancing team.
  • Be able to deal with all freehold, leasehold, shared ownership, new build, remortgage, and transfer of equity transactions from start to finish.
  • Good standard of literacy, numeracy, and attention to detail.
  • Pleasant manner, flexible, and co-operative.
  • Pleasant telephone manner.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Excellent client care.
  • Flexibility in support of other members of staff.
