Brainkind Neurological Centre York is seeking a Support Advocate to join our team. In this role, you will provide companionship and support to individuals with acquired brain injury and other neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop trusting relationships with individuals and their families
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence and confidence
- Engage in activities such as hobbies, reading, or playing board games together
- Provide emotional support and listen to individuals' concerns
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and have a non-judgmental attitude. You will also need to be comfortable working in a variety of settings and have the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is £11-14 per hour, depending on experience. You will also receive comprehensive training and ongoing support from our team.
