Key Responsibilities:
- Health Monitoring: Provide care for students with medical conditions, including managing medication, monitoring health needs, and responding to emergencies when necessary.
- First Aid: Administer first aid and respond to any incidents that require immediate medical attention.
- Medical Support Plans: Work with the school's pastoral team to implement and maintain individual healthcare plans for students, ensuring they receive the appropriate care.
- Emotional Support: Provide reassurance and emotional support to students dealing with health challenges, helping them feel comfortable and safe at school.
- Collaboration: Liaise with teaching staff, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure all aspects of a student's health and wellbeing are managed effectively.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student care, medication administration, and any medical incidents that occur.
Requirements:
- Health Care Experience: Prior experience in a health care assistant role, ideally in an educational or paediatric setting, is essential.
- First Aid Certification: Up to date first aid qualifications, or a willingness to obtain this through training, is required.
