Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Business Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Business and Accounting to join our dynamic team at Elizabeth School of London. As a key member of our academic staff, you will contribute to the delivery of business programs with renowned university partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning: Provide high-quality teaching and learning across a range of programs within a Higher Education setting, particularly Foundation year in Business and Accounting.
  • Tutoring: Tutor students, offering appropriate support to enable them to achieve their goals and progress to positive destinations.
  • Course Development: Contribute to the development and continual improvement of courses, coordinating effectively with both staff and students.
  • Module Development: Develop module materials for each of the modules being undertaken.
  • Subject-Specific Sessions: Provide/Deliver/Facilitate subject-specific sessions in line with the Learning Outcomes and syllabuses of modules.
  • Assessment: Deploy assessments appropriately as set out by the assessment team.
  • Student Support: Set out measures to understand the learning needs of students on their modules.
  • Feedback: Support students with timely formative feedback to the extent prescribed by each of the program specifications.
  • Marking and Feedback: Mark and provide summative feedback within the prescribed deadline published by the Assessment Team.
  • Programme Specifications: Ensure that all expectations of the Programme Specification of respective Awarding Bodies and Universities under which modules are being taught.
  • Module Reports: Produce appropriate module/unit reports.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Research: Contribute to the Business School's Research Department at the Manchester campus.

Competencies and Expertise: The successful applicant must demonstrate competence and experience in the subjects of statistics, ICT, accounting, finance, and economics.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Master's degree and/or a PhD in the relevant area.
  • Teaching Qualifications: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice, or FHEA, etc.
  • Previous Experience: Previous lecturing experience for similar courses at HEI level.
  • Technical Skills: Work in line with Blackboard / VLEs, MS Teams / Zoom.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Industry Experience: Experience working in the industry of your subject.
