Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

About the Role

This Strategic Financial Advisor position involves providing expert financial advice and guidance to senior budget holders within Network Rail. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality business review information and reporting, as well as building detailed plans to manage and develop business plans and budgets.

  • Lead and provide financial advice to senior budget holders
  • Expertise in accounting practices and technical regulations
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of business needs and relevant application of accounting standards
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial reports and analysis
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate commercial risks
Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as a Strategic Financial Advisor at Network Rail include:

  • Financial planning and budgeting

  • Business review and reporting
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Membership (or working towards) of a relevant accounting body (CIMA/ACCA)
  • Extensive experience in finance disciplines, including Oracle-based systems
  • Strong Excel skills and data manipulation abilities
  • Excellent technical finance and accounting knowledge
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in finance and accounting or business management
