Job Description:

We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our team at Leonardo as Industrial Placement roles in Firmware Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing mixed signal Digital and RF designs to execute high performance signal processing, communications, and control algorithms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop firmware for digital systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate firmware with hardware and software components
  • Develop and implement high-performance signal processing, communications, and control algorithms
  • Contribute to the development of robust designs that can function reliably in harsh environments
  • Participate in technical reviews and contribute to the improvement of our self-protection systems

Requirements:

  • Predicted 2:1 grade in a relevant degree discipline (Physics, Applied Physics, or Electronic Engineering)
  • Strong understanding of firmware design and development
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
