Job Title: Welder Fabricator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our team at Jark PLC. As a Welder Fabricator, you will be responsible for operating welding machines to fuse metal segments together using MIG or other processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measuring, cutting, clamping, grinding, drilling, or tacking metal pieces before welding
  • Fabricating parts following mechanical drawings
  • Preparing work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials
  • Maintaining the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality, ensuring products are produced and delivered OTIF to the customers' requirements
  • Checking and completing all paperwork associated with the works order
  • Performing area housekeeping activities, including the prompt reporting of problems, shortages, or equipment breakdown
  • Visiting customer sites throughout the UK, as required
  • Using general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the role
  • Quality inspecting colleague's output

Requirements:

  • Fabrication/welding - MIG, MMA/Stick Welding, Stud Welding, and Plasma Cutting - essential
  • Preferable have experience using the Armarda Press Brake
  • Hands-on experience of working within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment - desirable
  • The ability to understand mechanical drawings - essential
