Chairperson

Keelman Homes Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chair to join our Board. As Chair, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future direction of the company, ensuring good governance, and driving strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a strong personal commitment to the mission and objects of Keelman Homes, as well as a proven track record of effective leadership and governance. They will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the social and affordable housing sector, and have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Housing Management
• Knowledge of the social or affordable housing sector, and associated regulatory governance
• Customer regulation and community relations
• Business planning (strategic and finance)
• New build development experience
• Corporate governance

The Chair will be responsible for providing direct oversight of the company strategically and operationally, ensuring risk is monitored and reduced, and performance and compliance key performance indicators are being met. They will also be responsible for shaping the overall strategic direction of the charity, and will work closely with the Managing Director and Trustees to achieve this.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and influencing skills, and will be able to contribute actively to the strategic direction of Keelman Homes. They will also have a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, and to accept collective corporate responsibility for decision-making.
