About the Role:

We are recruiting an exceptional Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) to join our team at Axcis Education Recruitment. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in our primary school setting.

Responsibilities:

  1. Leading the development and implementation of SEND policies and procedures
  2. Collaborating with teachers, teaching assistants, and external professionals to ensure seamless provision for pupils with SEND
  3. Maintaining regular communication with parents and guardians of pupils with SEND
  4. Developing and delivering training programs for staff on SEND-related issues
  5. Evaluating the effectiveness of SEND provision and making recommendations for improvement
  6. Organizing and leading multidisciplinary meetings for pupils' Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  7. Coordinating resources and budget for SEND initiatives
  8. Staying informed about current legislation, policies, and best practices in SEND provision

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience working as a SENCO or in a similar capacity
  • Strong knowledge of SEND law and policy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Salary: Competitive salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
