Job Overview
Sports Interactive, the renowned game development studio behind Football Manager, is seeking a highly skilled Lighting Artist to join our Art & Animation team as a Contractor. With a strong track record in creating captivating lighting effects for real-time environments, this individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual atmosphere of our game. Located at the Here East technology hub in Stratford, East London, we offer a dynamic and collaborative work environment that fosters growth and innovation.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and maintaining lighting across various scenes and environments, ensuring seamless integration with other visual components. They will also collaborate closely with the environment and technical teams to optimize performance while preserving visual fidelity. Key responsibilities include:

1. Implementing and refining lighting effects in Unity, adhering to project standards and artistic vision.
2. Collaborating with engineers to resolve technical issues related to lighting, ensuring assets meet quality and performance standards.
3. Leveraging Unity's lighting tools, including light probes, reflection probes, and lighting volumes, to achieve realistic lighting effects.

Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Lighting Artist with 2-3 years of experience in lighting for real-time environments, preferably within a game development setting. The ideal candidate should possess a strong portfolio showcasing work on completed games or similar projects and demonstrate proficiency in Unity's lighting systems. Additionally, they should have knowledge of basic shader adjustment and familiarity with procedural lighting tools or dynamic lighting systems. Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
