BIM Structural Engineer Position

Linum Consult is seeking a skilled BIM Structural Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract day rate. This position is remote, based in the UK, with occasional visits to their office in Paris.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare structural engineering drawings from rough sketches and/or general engineering and design information.
  2. Collaborate with other designers/engineers to ensure a coordinated design.
  3. Ensure compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications.
  4. Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for drawing preparation.
  5. Make any required changes, additions, and revisions.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
  2. At least 7-10 years' experience in a similar role, working for consultancies.
  3. Previous experience working on large warehouses, data centres, or industrial building construction projects is essential.
  4. Technical knowledge of Autodesk Revit software and demonstrable knowledge of European codes of construction.
  5. UK based, with the ability to travel a couple of times a month to Paris.
  6. Able to start immediately and invoice outside of IR35.
  7. Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
