Job Title: Principal Procurement Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Principal Procurement Manager to join our team at Summer-Browning Associates, working within the defence sector. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop and implement category strategies that drive cost-effective solutions and business models.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of category strategies, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes. Your expertise in public sector procurement, contract regulations, and supplier management will be essential in driving business growth and improving efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category strategies to deliver cost-effective solutions and business models.
  • Lead the procurement process, managing contracts and suppliers to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and improve efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and internal teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

Requirements:

  • Active DV clearance.
  • Proven experience in Principal Procurement Management, with a strong background in public sector procurement.
  • Extensive knowledge of contract regulations, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Experience working in a procurement project/programme environment.
  • Portfolio planning and asset management skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement reform act (desirable).
