About Our Client
We are seeking a highly skilled Billing Specialist to join our team at Page Personnel Sales in Addlestone. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established business on a 12-month contract.
Job Description
- Prepare, verify, and process invoices for sales or services rendered, ensuring accurate coding for swift payment from customers.
- Enter data on invoices, ensuring correct coding to enable efficient payment processing.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or misapplied cash transactions, maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Review and process credit memos and invoice corrections as needed, meeting deadlines and ensuring compliance.
- Meet invoicing and billing deadlines on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Assist with month-end closing and audit support, collaborating with Administrative and Finance personnel.
- Partner with sales and operations teams to ensure invoicing meets customer requirements and adheres to company policies and Group's Organisational Norms.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships across departments to ensure bookings and billings align with company policies.
- Ensure all invoices raised are collectable, taking ownership to correct any breakdown of the billing cycle.
- Minimise credit notes raised due to billing errors and administrative burdens to the client.
- Set up client accounts and perform credit checks for creditworthiness, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles is essential for this role.
- Proficient use of Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
- An educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, with a strong understanding of financial principles.
