About the Role

The Economic Consulting division of Grant Thornton comprises 30 postgraduate economists who provide regulatory, competition, and economic valuation services to economic regulators, government, corporates, and their legal advisors.

Our regulatory economics projects include:

  • Advising the UK aviation industry on cost assessment and performance incentives
  • Assisting with the regulatory audit of two network operators in Ireland
  • Advising leading banks and insurers on consumer duty regulations

About the Job

This Regulatory Economic Manager role requires an MSc in Economics and experience as a regulatory economist in consultancy, industry, or at an economic regulator.

You will lead analysis on large cases, produce high-quality economic analysis, interpret data, and communicate complex concepts effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading regulatory economic projects for clients
  • Producing quality economic analysis and insights
  • Interpreting and challenging data and economic models
  • Liaising with clients and identifying business development opportunities

Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum based on experience.
