Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 2 HIAB driver to join our team at Backline Logistic Support Services Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our clients in the Bridgwater area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a HIAB crane to deliver goods to various builders merchants in the local area.
  • Complete deliveries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Work independently, using your own initiative to secure loads and complete tasks.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery operations.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
Requirements:
  • Hold a full UK Category C Licence.
  • Have experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles.
  • Hold a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Hold a valid HIAB ticket (free training can be provided).
  • Knowledge of load security using ratchet straps and other methods.
  • Good knowledge of the local area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate of £14.00.
  • Minimum 9 hours paid per day.
  • Overtime rates apply for hours worked beyond 9 hours.
  • Up to 28 days holiday accrued per year.

  • Guaranteed minimum of 45 hours paid per week available.
