Farrer Barnes is a dynamic and growing company based in the UK, seeking a highly skilled Part Time Finance Assistant to join our finance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our finance department.

The Role:

We are looking for a Part Time Finance Assistant to assist in the day-to-day activities of our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger Management: You will be responsible for managing our purchase ledger and sales ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
  • Credit Control and Bank Reconciliations: You will be responsible for managing our credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and performing bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, including monthly payment runs, to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Finance or Accounts Assistant Background: You will have a strong background in finance or accounts, with experience in managing purchase ledgers, sales ledgers, and credit control.
  • Strong Excel Skills: You will have advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets.
  • High Degree of Accuracy and Flexibility: You will have a high degree of accuracy and flexibility, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
