We are seeking an Experienced Payroll Manager to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. As a key member of our payroll team, you will report into the Senior Payroll Manager and support them in supervising the payroll team, with line management duties of a team of 3. Key responsibilities include day-to-day management of the team and processing of high-volume, in-house payroll, as well as training and development of the Payroll Team.

  1. Payroll Management: Supervise a team of 3 and manage the day-to-day processing of high-volume, in-house payroll.
  2. Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to the Payroll Team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  3. HMRC and Payroll Corrections: Manage HMRC and payroll corrections, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Process Implementation: Assist with the implementation of new payroll processes, such as cost-of-living changes, increment procedures, and discretionary pay reviews.
  5. Annual HMRC Reconciliations: Manage annual HMRC reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  6. Global Mobility: Work with the University International Tax Manager on global mobility and interaction.
