GSE/HGV Technician

We are seeking an experienced GSE/HGV technician to join our team at CV-Library in Luton, Bedfordshire.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure the maintenance and repair of vehicles and plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair vehicles and plant equipment as requested by the Workshop Supervisor.
  • Perform routine inspections, brake tests, and smoke tests, identifying any defects or issues.
  • Diagnose faults and inform the Workshop Supervisor of required repairs and parts.
  • Maintain accurate job cards and inspection sheets, updating them as necessary.
  • Organize and store spare parts in a designated area.
  • Report defective tooling and equipment to the Workshop Supervisor promptly.
Requirements:
  • Motor Mechanic qualifications (LGV).
  • City & Guilds Level 3 in motor mechanics.
  • Forklift experience (desirable).
  • Operational vehicle/logistical background.
  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Background in vehicle maintenance.
