Cost Estimation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Runcorn, United Kingdom. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial viability of our projects and delivering successful outcomes. With a proven track record in managing cost estimation, procurement, and contract negotiation, you will be able to demonstrate your expertise in this field.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will require a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, as well as extensive experience (5+ years) in a similar role within the construction industry. You will also need to possess strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and best practices, as well as proficiency in cost management software and financial reporting tools. Additionally, excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
The Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for preparing and managing detailed cost estimates and budgets, conducting cost analysis and financial reporting, negotiating contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, monitoring and managing project cash flows and budgets, identifying and assessing commercial risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant construction regulations and legislation. Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement effective cost management strategies to ensure project financial efficiency.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and contractors to deliver successful projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and mitigate commercial risks.
• Provide expert advice on construction contracts, regulations, and best practices.
• Analyze and report on project costs, cash flows, and budget variances.
• Develop and present comprehensive financial reports to stakeholders.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure optimal terms and conditions.
