We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi-Trade Specialist with expertise in plumbing and carpentry to join our client's growing team. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, tiling, painting, and general handyman duties.
- Diagnose and fix plumbing issues such as leaks and blockages.
- Carry out carpentry tasks including fitting doors, installing cabinets, repairing furniture, constructing frameworks, and hanging fire doors.
- Work on projects for landlords and letting agents, as well as commercial jobs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls.
- Conduct inspections to identify and resolve potential issues before they become major problems.
- Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete larger projects.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and questions with professionalism and a smile.
- Undertake general maintenance jobs including redecorations, ensuring properties are kept in top condition.
- Proven experience in both plumbing and carpentry, with a strong bias towards these trades.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in plumbing and/or carpentry.
- Experience in hanging fire doors and other specialized carpentry tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
- Salary up to £33,500 DOE.
