Your Future Role
- Lead major deployment projects by overseeing verification, integration, and testing activities for Signaling projects, ensuring Quality, Cost, and Delivery meet client needs.
- Define and lead project activities related to Verification, Integration, and Testing, performed either by the V&V department or delegated to experts in other Signaling departments.
- Collaborate closely with Test & Commissioning to complement in-house with on-site testing activities.
- Discuss and agree overall V&V strategy with Safety Assurance Manager to ensure achievement and demonstration of requested safety targets.
We'll Look to You For:
- Develop the Project Verification and Validation strategy in the V&V Plan, ensuring proper coverage and demonstration that customer and design requirements are met.
- Collect contributions from involved stakeholders (e.g., Test & Commissioning).
- Define and agree V&V activity schedule.
- Undertake verification of System and Sub System Requirements.
- Produce Verification and validation reports in support of gate reviews and commissionings.
- Engage with other engineering discipline experts to produce Design Verification Reports.
- Ensure application and adherence to internal processes and applicable norms, methods & tools, requesting deviations whenever appropriate.
- Define the project Requirement Validation Table (RVT) to demonstrate validation of technical requirements.
- Organize and lead documental verification and reviews.
- Act as UK V&V EDU Lead, periodically reporting V&V delivery milestones, KPIs, Resource and Cost performance to Senior Leadership Team.
- Act as Work Package Owner/Manager for UK V&V project portfolio, periodically reporting programme and cost performance to Project Management Team during Work Package Reviews.
- As V&V Process Correspondent, ensure Alstom V&V process is implemented and applied consistently across Projects, providing guidance to stakeholders on process adherence, governance, and tailoring where applicable.
- As V&V Lead, support Bids and Tenders with establishing V&V scope of works, developing detailed cost estimates, and attending Tender Reviews.
- Manage full verification and validation of all configured functions, together with parameters and data produced on the project.
- Monitor and follow-up execution and reporting of activities delegated to experts in other departments.
- Represent Alstom in front of customers, partners, and auditors, providing an overview of Test strategy, progress, issues, risks, and opportunities.
- Manage functionally the Project Verification & Validation Team and ensure/control their deliverables for the project.
- Ensure independence of verification from design.
- Select and manage subcontractors.
- Cooperate with Test and Commissioning for the definition and follow-up of Site Acceptance Tests.

Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or related subject - qualified by experience considered.
- Good analytical skills and previous experience in test & integration are required. In alternative, you will have experience in system engineering or Safety Assurance.
- Knowledge of at least one Alstom platform.
