About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our management team at Holmes Halls Processors Careers. As a leading wet blue producer, we convert UK hides into wet blue commodity, the starting point for all leather.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective environmental management systems to meet and exceed stakeholder requirements.
- Manage the company's operations to minimize environmental impact and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address environmental challenges and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain ISO 14001 and 90001 systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.
- Provide technical expertise on process equipment and process control systems, with a focus on chemical processing sector best practices.
- Work closely with the wastewater treatment team to ensure efficient and effective treatment processes.
Requirements
- Degree or HND level in a science-based subject, with a strong understanding of environmental management principles.
- NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent.
- Proven experience in environmental management, with a track record of success in the manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of ISO systems, with experience in implementing and maintaining 14001 and 90001 standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
