Project Development Artist for Anansi Theatre

We are seeking a talented Wellbeing & Mental Health Champion and Dramaturg/Artist Support to join our team in the development of Anansi The Spider, a new participatory project that draws from research into West African, African American, and Caribbean folklore.
About the project:
Anansi The Spider is led by Lauren Nicole Whitter, Anansi Artistic Director and Unlimited Core Artist. We are particularly looking for female or non-binary individuals who identify as Black or from a Global Majority background to contribute to this new retelling of the Anasi Spider Story.
About the role:
- Lead workshops with local women of colour to develop ideas through personal stories, creative workshops, and staged pieces of performance.
- Unpack the themes within the Anansi mythologies and create new retellings of the story.
Requirements:
- Possess excellent storytelling and dramaturgy skills.
- Have experience working in wellbeing and mental health.
- Be comfortable leading workshops and working in a collaborative environment.
Salary: £34,000 per annum.
