Production Shift Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Production Shift Manager to join our team in Kent. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team on shift and working closely with colleagues to ensure efficiency across all production lines within the packhouse.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing a team, with a positive and encouraging approach. They will be able to work confidently on shift, making decisions, effectively managing any discrepancies to find resolution, and achieving set KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Line Leaders to ensure successful daily output, meeting targets and packing efficiencies.
  2. Identify training requirements and action as appropriate, conduct appraisals and develop direct reports.
  3. Manage agency staff requirements, alongside other Managers, to ensure the required numbers are confirmed and implemented.
  4. Ensure a centre of excellence approach, engaging with and coordinating continuous improvements.
  5. Adhere to SOPs, Product Specifications, and Health & Safety procedures.

Requirements:

  1. Fresh Produce / Food Production / Packhouse / Packing environment.
  2. Proven experience in managing a team, with a positive and encouraging approach.
  3. Ability to work confidently on shift, making decisions, effectively managing any discrepancies to find resolution, and achieving set KPIs.

Location: Kent
Salary: £38-39k
Shift: Day shift; 4-on - 4-off
