Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at BMC. As a Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Nursing Assistant and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  1. Provides superior customer service to internal and external clients, customers, and patients.
  2. Performs all patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
  3. Functions in the role of assistant to the nursing staff or to the Registered Nurse.
  4. Assists patients getting in and out of bed.
  5. Orients patient to call light and side rails, maintains accessibility, and answers call light in a timely fashion.
  6. Stays with restless patients.
  7. Makes and instructs in the use of cough pillows.
  8. Assists in the collection of medical data, vital signs.
  9. Assists the Registered Nurse with specific components of admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
  10. Assists the Registered Nurse with ADLs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or one clinical rotation completed.
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language.
  • Able to complete mathematical computations required to perform treatment protocols.
  • Able to lift, transfer, and move patients.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
