About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our client's business in Fareham. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical hardware solutions from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical hardware solutions in accordance with various compliance standards
  • Experience in design for manufacture and testing, as well as simulation, prototyping, and experimentation
  • Generate and review relevant design documentation, including electrical drawings and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical safety and regulatory compliance
  • Lead electrical aspects of projects and mentor and develop team members
  • Present and persuade customers of optimal design approaches in project meetings and reviews
Requirements
  • At least an HNC/HND Electrical Engineering qualification, with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred
  • Experience in designing cable and connector assemblies for highly regulated industries
  • Experience in computing or rack-based electrical hardware design
  • Proficiency in electrical drawing software, such as SolidWorks Electrical or similar
  • Knowledge of EMC and regulatory requirements, including CE/UKCA
  • RF design experience
