">About the Job

This exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Principal Planner to join our team at West Oxfordshire District Council.

As a Senior Urban Planning Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing urban planning strategies that promote sustainable growth and regeneration in the district.

">Main Responsibilities
  • To develop and maintain knowledge of national and local planning policies and procedures.
  • To prepare and submit planning applications, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy requirements.
  • To participate in public consultations and meetings, representing the council's interests and responding to queries from members of the public.

You will work closely with stakeholders, including residents, businesses, and community groups, to ensure that planning decisions reflect the needs and aspirations of the local community.

We offer a competitive salary range of £46,175 - £49,695 per annum, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional development.

">Desirable Requirements
  • Master's degree in Town Planning or a related field.
  • Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI) status.
  • Experience of working on major planning projects.
