Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Loading, delivering, and collecting heavy plant equipment to and from customer sites.\
  • Carrying out hire equipment demonstrations and ensuring all relevant checks and administration are completed accurately.\
  • Accurately completing and debriefing all paperwork associated with deliveries at the depot.\
  • Informing delivery issues to the customer service department or depot supervisor via vehicle mobile phone and taking remedial action.\
  • Driving the vehicle in a professional manner, ensuring safety and minimizing damage.\
  • Complying with all Driver, Health & Safety, and Food Hygiene legislation in accordance with company procedures.\
  • Conducting vehicle safety checks before setting off each day.\
  • Completing all deliveries on the daily run allocated.\
  • Acknowledging accuracy of driver load sheets and tachographs.\\[/ul]\

Requirements:

  • \
  • Significant experience in an HGV driving role loading, delivering, and collecting heavy plant equipment.\
  • Class 2 driving licence, Driver CPC with a minimum of 35 hours completed, and a valid Digital Tachograph card.\
  • Recent experience of towing trailers is essential.\
  • An understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace.\
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail.\\[/ul]\
