About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker Supervisor to join our team at Foster Care Associates, a leading independent fostering agency within the Polaris Community.

As a Social Worker Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents, ensuring they provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children and young people.
  • Work in partnership with foster families to identify needs and provide support, including respite, activities, and therapy.
  • Ensure compliance with key documentation and attend meetings with Commissioning Teams to address individual packages of care.
  • Promote participation of children and young people in the development of the agency and in accessing resources and opportunities in their local community.
Requirements
  • A Social Work qualification and professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality report writing and a comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
  • The willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional nights away, and confidence in transporting children and young people in sometimes stressful situations.
  • A full driving license and the ability to work in a team environment.
