About the Role
NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is seeking an exceptional leader to fill the position of Chief Executive. As the head of the organization, you will be responsible for providing executive leadership and ensuring the Board delivers its performance targets across all areas of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health strategies that align with the Board's aims: Better Health, Better Care, Better Value, and Better Workplace.
- Lead the delivery of health outcomes within our communities, tackling health inequalities, and ensuring the effective use of resources.
- Maintain the propriety and regularity of financial transactions and ensure value for money in all operations as the Accountable Officer.
Requirements
- Substantial experience in a senior leadership role within a large and complex public sector organization, preferably within healthcare.
- Proven track record of leading transformational change, strategic planning, and delivery of high performance in a high-profile and politically sensitive environment.
- Executive-level leadership development or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in financial management, performance management, and developing culture.
- Understanding of NHS Scotland policy and the current challenges facing the health and social care system in Scotland.
