Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Tax Manager / Adviser to join our team in Pontypridd. As a key member of our tax department, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, providing expert advice and guidance on tax liabilities and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and within deadlines
  • Provide expert advice on tax implications and offer general tax guidance throughout the year
  • Prepare P11Ds and Capital Gains Tax Returns for property sales and other capital gains
  • Liaise with HMRC regarding clients' tax affairs
  • Communicate effectively with clients to obtain necessary information and complete tax returns

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in an accounts practice is essential
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of IRIS would be advantageous, although training will be provided if necessary
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable accountancy practice and contribute to the success of our tax department. The estimated salary for this role is £32,000 - £42,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
