About the Role

Carrington West is seeking a highly experienced Building Surveyor to join our team as a Senior Building Surveyor - Commercial Contracts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading projects effectively to meet time, cost, and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and high-quality results.
  • Assist in asset management reviews of clients, providing expert advice on property valuation and management.
  • Manage condition surveys of existing building stock, recording condition and writing follow-up reports.
  • Oversight and submission of tender packs, including tender drawings, specifications, and scheduling of works.
  • Organize tenders to contractors, conduct analysis of tenders, and raise and issue construction contracts (JCT).
  • Conduct site inspections to assess health and safety, project progress, and quality of work, reporting to clients.
  • Chair and minute external and internal project meetings, ensuring effective communication and decision-making.
  • Manage fee projections for various projects, issuing fee invoices in line with targets.
  • Utilize company-wide systems for storing project, client information, and personal data.
  • Attend mandatory training, meet, and record CPD professional standards.
  • Travel for site visits, surveys, and client meetings.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in Building Surveying.
  • MRICS or equivalent professional accreditation or at least 5 years PQE in construction consultancy/industry experience.
  • Competitive salary dependent on experience.
