Job Title: Chief EC&I Engineering Specialist
Company OverviewMillbank Holdings Ltd is a leading engineering and maintenance provider with an exciting opportunity for a Principal EC&I Engineer to join their Nuclear Power and Engineering Technical Services (NPETS) business.
Salary & BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, Millbank offers a range of benefits, including a contributory pension scheme and generous holiday allowance.
Job DescriptionAs a Principal EC&I Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, co-ordinating and delivering varied and exciting EC&I centric engineering projects. This will involve working alongside Operations Managers and Engineering Managers to deliver holistic and integrated solutions.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the Responsible Engineer on projects.
- Leading project delivery teams across the project lifecycle from bid generation, through concept and detailed design development to installation and commissioning.
- Owning and managing project budgets.
- Working on systems integration, testing and validation of PLC, SCADA and simulator systems.
- Demonstrating knowledge of the practical aspects of implementing engineering designs and understanding the use of standards and compliance with regulatory requirements in an engineering environment.
- Producing high-quality technical reports.
- An awareness of civil nuclear plant systems, structures and components and associated design and assessment guidelines (or relevant engineering principles from other highly regulated industries).
- Knowledge of high integrity hardware or software-based control systems for industrial equipment.
- Motivated team member with the ability to work to deadlines and communicate project progress.
- Committed to Continuous Professional Development.
Working on a nuclear licensed site can expose individuals to various risks and hazards, including radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels.
