Electrical Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic Work Winning team in a hybrid position based at our London Office (two days per week).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Estimating team with electrical bids and tenders
  • Prepare and submit prime cost estimates using Enterprise Estimating Software
  • Liaise with internal and external engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to construct and formulate estimates and resolve issues
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates
  • Identify and provide alternative cost proposals, solutions, and value engineering options
  • Establish and maintain tendering processes and conduct negotiations
  • Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Support and encourage junior team members
  • Monitor targets and workflow
  • Control and organise tender documentation
  • Track and report analytics on various campaigns, internal communications, and social media using various tools
Requirements:
  • Experience working for a Mechanical & Electrical contractor
  • Proficient in using estimating software packages
  • Experience in budget and cost planning
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Ability to analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates
  • Experience in preparing and submitting prime cost estimates using Estimating Software
  • Excellent Problem-Solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions
  • An inquisitive mind with attention to detail
  • High attention to detail and analytical thinker
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders and external stakeholders
  • Self-Disciplined
  • Good Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • A high level of confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
  • Confident manner, with ability to work to deadlines, whilst remaining focussed
  • A full UK driving licence
