About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team at Howden Group, a leading specialist underwriting group. As a Senior Underwriter, you will play a key role in heading up a team of experienced industry professionals and dealing with Lloyd's Brokers, direct clients, other insurers, and cover holders from around the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercising personal skill set, knowledge, and technical expertise for the overall benefit of DUAL/Ashby Underwriting, actively training and developing other members of the team on market trends and keeping up to date on changes to case law and legislation from around the world.
  • Participating and undertaking applicable professional, technical, and development training as appropriate.
  • Accountable for providing clients and customers with relevant training, when required.
  • Accountable for issuing relevant and up-to-date articles on Bloodstock and Equine Insurances.
  • Developing and enhancing relationships with business partners, policy holders, and service providers to continuously drive performance and results for DUAL.
  • All-round awareness of those aspects of the insurance industry that have a direct bearing on key responsibilities and accountabilities.
  • Significant experience in the insurance industry with a broad range of experience including one or more of the following: policy work and preparation, basic accounts, claims, insurance underwriting/broking, and direct client liaison.
