About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance across the hospital site.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including fire alarm testing, lamp replacement, and emergency light testing.
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and building services equipment.
  • Respond to minor repairs and maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with lift entrapment and boiler safety checks.
  • Perform water safety checks, including temperature monitoring and water sampling.
  • Repair leaking taps and replace fixtures and fittings as needed.
  • Contribute to planned Operating Theatre maintenance work.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of general Building Services.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
