About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Youth Worker to join our team at Vision for Education - Manchester. As a School Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged between 11 and 16 who are receiving their education in a SEMH school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to young people in the classroom and with their social and emotional development.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support young people's education and well-being.
  • Build positive relationships with young people, parents, and carers to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting young people's needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans to support young people's academic and personal growth.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience working with young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues.
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and build positive relationships with young people, parents, and carers.
  • Passion for making a positive impact on young people's lives and supporting their education and well-being.
  • Resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
