Diversity & Inclusion Lead - Part Time

We are seeking a highly organized and passionate individual to join our team as a Strategic Lead for our VCSE programme in Salford. This exciting role will focus on ensuring that the VCSE sector has a voice and influence, so that Salford people are supported to live well, with a focus on mental health and wellbeing.
You will work closely with our Living Well programme and the city's Mental Health Collaborative, which are the cornerstones of the design and development of innovative solutions to adult mental health provision in the City. As well as the alignment with Living Well, you will also focus on creative health, place-based working, and physical activity.
As Strategic Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring that there is collaborative working and effective communication within Living Well, as well as with key stakeholders and strategic partners in Salford, including Local Authority, VCSE, and NHS organizations.
We are looking for someone who has solid experience in building strong partnerships across different sectors and who communicates exceptionally well. A clear understanding of the VCSE sector, preferably within Salford, along with a deep knowledge of the mental health and wellbeing landscape across Greater Manchester, is essential.
We are keen to employ someone for this role who cares as much about Salford, our sector, the diversity of our work, and the people who live and work here as we all do.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and organizations
- Lead the design and development of innovative solutions to adult mental health provision in the City
- Work closely with the Living Well programme and the city's Mental Health Collaborative
- Focus on creative health, place-based working, and physical activity
- Ensure collaborative working and effective communication within Living Well and with key stakeholders
Requirements:
- Strong experience in building partnerships across different sectors
- Exceptional communication skills
- Clear understanding of the VCSE sector, preferably within Salford
- Deep knowledge of the mental health and wellbeing landscape across Greater Manchester
