Job Opportunity

Litigation Solicitor Role

This is a hybrid role, based within our growing Litigation Department in our friendly office.

The role has a mixed litigation caseload, to include a range of both personal and business disputes. The successful candidate will be working alongside other Solicitors/Practitioners within Litigation and will work with and report to the Directors and Head of Department.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To manage all client work allocated by the Head of Department or other Partner.
  2. To provide an ongoing high standard of client care to existing clients.
  3. To work with Directors and other Litigation Practitioners, playing an active role in developing new business.
  4. To deliver fee income and achieve agreed time recording in line with targeted objectives.
  5. To have overall responsibility for credit control on own matters, in close liaison with Accounts.
  6. To keep informed of all changes in the Law and Practice and maintain relevant CPD.
  7. To supervise, support and develop immediate support staff.
  8. To perform work in line with the firm's risk procedures, comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors.

Requirements

  1. 2 Years PQE
  2. Experience of dealing with a variety of litigation areas to include property litigation
  3. Strong planning and organisational skills - able to manage and diarise own caseload.
  4. Excellent communication skills both with clients and other members of the department.
  5. Able to work independently but seek advice from other members of the department.
  6. Proactive, forward-thinking and able to cope well under pressure.
  7. Good computer literacy and knowledge of case management systems.
  8. Hardworking and positive attitude.
  9. Wish to deliver a high-quality service.
  10. A strong ability for networking would be desirable.
