About the role

Many people who use our services face additional risks of abuse and exploitation due to their personal circumstances and experiences. Our Safeguarding Policy and Practice Manager will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a robust Safeguarding Strategy within the charity.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Deputising for the Designated Safeguarding Officer and working with them to develop and implement a robust Safeguarding Strategy.
  • Reporting to the Corporate Safeguarding Board on the implementation of the safeguarding strategy and current organisational safeguarding risks.
  • Convening the Safeguarding Managers Forum to review the implementation of the policy and procedure and share and develop best practice.

Flexible working

The role is suitable for job sharing and partial home working. Attendance at meetings and in-person training in London, Leeds and Sheffield is required.
