Teneo is seeking a seasoned Associate Director to lead our political and regulatory practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic counsel to senior clients, driving business growth, and fostering the development of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead large and integrated teams to develop and deliver political campaigns and strategies that drive real impact for our clients.
  • Responsible for client servicing, profitability, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Generate new business leads through networks and proactive opportunity spotting.
  • Provide political insight and intelligence through political, media, and industry networking.
  • Proactively contribute to and foster the development of junior team members, including line managing 1-3 colleagues.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years' experience in a senior role in public affairs consultancy or in-house.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing large teams.
  • Excellent understanding of local and national government.
  • Excellent ability to shape and deliver strategic advice to senior-level clients.
  • Able to manage and mentor junior staff.
  • An engaging self-starter with high attention to detail.
  • Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A collaborator who is able to foster good working relationships.
  • Time management and the ability to prioritize a varied workload.
  • Comfortable taking the lead on driving performance and revenue.
