We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality mental health care to patients in the local community.
About the RoleThe post holder will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive assessments, formulations, and treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs. You will also be responsible for providing medical leadership and supervision to junior medical colleagues, as well as contributing to the development of local mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide senior medical input to the team, including assessments, formulations, and treatment plans
- Work with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality mental health care to patients in the local community
- Provide medical leadership and supervision to junior medical colleagues
- Contribute to the development of local mental health services
- Support junior medical colleagues in clinically supervising trainee doctors and providing a high-quality medical education to students and trainees

The ideal candidate will have:
- MBBS or equivalent qualification
- Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice at the time of appointment
- Specialist registration or ability to achieve within 6 months of appointment
- AC approval or ability to achieve within 3 months of appointment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Has actively participated in audit and quality improvement activities
