Job Description

Service Engineer (Field) Role

Luton Bennett is seeking a skilled Service Engineer (Field) to join our team in a local field-based role. As a Service Engineer (Field), you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on a range of forklifts and associated equipment in the designated area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis.
  • Provide reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area.
  • Complete comprehensive training to become fully competent on all machinery and equipment.
  • Manage spares inventory and ensure timely delivery of parts to the field.

Requirements:

  • Plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment, automotive technicians/motor trade will also be suitable.
  • Engine diagnostics and some basic electrical skills.
  • Ideal candidate will hold a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
