Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Cleaning and Catering Operative in Malton. As a key member of our Facilities Management Team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and providing a catering service to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

Key duties will include:

  • Maintaining levels of cleanliness throughout designated areas, including lifting items and operating cleaning machinery.
  • Undertaking specialist cleaning tasks as required, under the guidance of the Facilities Supervisor and/or Nurse in Charge.
  • Assisting with the distribution of meals to wards and plating up meals to meet patient dietary requirements.
  • Making and distributing hot drinks and cleaning and refilling water jugs.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is able to read, write, and converse in English, with a basic understanding of cleaning procedures, COSSH procedures, infection prevention and control, and food hygiene. You will also need to be able to work independently and use your own initiative, prioritizing tasks and maintaining high standards of work.
